A half-yearly journal published by the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw (Poland), in cooperation with the Psychopharmacology Section of the Polish Psychiatric Association
 

Pharmacotherapy in Psychiatry and Neurology / Farmakoterapia w Psychiatrii i Neurologii is a half-yearly journal that carries scientific and educational papers related in broad sense to the clinical and experimental neuropsychopahrmacology. The journal is addressed to all those interested in the latest developments and research in this area, i.e. psychiatrists, neurologists, pharmacologists, psychologists, and representatives of other related disciplines.

The journal is particularly focused on the following topics:

• Pharmacological treatment of psychiatric disorders
• Pharmacological treatment of neurologic disorders
• Studies on efficacy and tolerability of new psychotropic drugs and drugs used in neurological disorders
• Preclinical pharmacology of psychotropic drugs and drugs used in neurological disorders
• Child and adolescent neuropsychopharmacology
• Neuropsychopharmacology of the elderly
• Mechanism of action of psychotropic drugs
• The effect of pharmacological treatment on brain bioelectrical activity (pharmaco-EEG)
• The effect of pharmacological treatment on cognitive functions and psychosocial functioning
• Psychometric assessment of drug activity
• Adverse reactions of psychotropic drugs and drugs used in neurological disorders
• Pharmacogenetic aspects of neuropsychiatric disorders and their treatment

The original (reference) version of the journal Pharmacotherapy in Psychiatry and Neurology / Farmakoterapia w Psychiatrii i Neurologii is its printed version.

The tasks: (1) Publishing scientific articles in English in the quarterly "Pharmacotherapy in Psychiatry and Neurology/Farmakoterapia w Psychiatrii i Neurologii" and (2) Procedures guaranteeing originality of articles published in the quarterly „Pharmacotherapy in Psychiatry and Neurology/Farmakoterapia w Psychiatrii i Neurologii" were funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education from resources assigned to the dissemination of science (agreement no 707/P-DUN/2018).
 

The task: Publishing scientific articles in English in the quarterly "Farmakoterapia w Psychiatrii i Neurologii/ Pharmacotherapy in Psychiatry and Neurology" was funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education from resources assigned to the dissemination of science (agreement no 842/P-DUN/2016) in 2016-2017.

The journal was partly financially supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Republic of Poland within the framework of the Index Plus programme in the years 2012-2015.
